Meat Goats from Dry Creek Livestock
Spanish and Boer genetics, forage-raised, proven in hard country.
About the Herd
We run meat goats on 480 acres of high desert rangeland on the Utah-Wyoming border. Our herd carries both Spanish and Boer genetics, selected for one thing: performance in hard country.
We don't chase maximums. We select for optimums — does that kid unassisted, raise their kids on forage alone, and hold their condition through a hard winter. Our animals are raised behind electric netting on a rotational grazing system, with livestock guardian dogs working around the clock.
When our goats leave here, they know how to work for a living.
Built for Hard Country
Goats raised on forage in a challenging climate develop something you can't manufacture — adaptability. Animals that come out of this high desert country and land on better feed perform. The Bear River Valley is known for compensatory gain, and our customers are seeing it.
Our wethers are a natural fit for vegetation management operations. Forage-raised, experienced with electric netting, and built to graze hard. They know the job.
